I’m Jackie Sanders and I am a leadership and career coach. This means I love working with people who are currently feeling ‘stuck’ and want to get more from their professional lives and careers.

The reason I decided to work as a coach is that in every role I’ve had in my professional life, it’s the people that I worked with that made it worthwhile. The best part of my day was making the people around me feel engaged and empowered.

I know what its like to find yourself in the wrong job, wanting to break free of a toxic work environment but not knowing how to do it. I’ve been that technically able ‘safe pair of hands’ keen to stretch into a leadership role, and achieved it.

I’ve been privileged to work with some truly excellent people leaders and to lead teams of my own to great success. I’ve been through redundancy and survived the rollercoaster that entails and set up my own business.

Now I want to share my experience with others so they can find a navigate their own challenges and find a place that they can really thrive in.

My story.

Before becoming a full time coach, my previous career experience was in the financial services industry in senior leadership and relationship management roles, working with companies ranging in scale from SMEs to global corporates.

My clients spanned diverse sectors including pharmaceuticals, real estate, retail, telecoms, infrastructure and transport. This client experience means I understand the business dynamics, challenges and opportunities facing these industries. In addition I have acted as trusted partner to the front line businesses as a regulation and conduct advisor. That brought me to leading teams in fast-paced remediation projects so I understand the recovery work required when things go wrong.

In recent years I was an internal coach for a FTSE 100 UK bank embedding a new bank-wide leadership development programme and providing 1:1 coaching to support the executives and their teams. It was here I found my true passion in coaching people to excel in the right role and in leading others.

My coaching style.

I am versatile in my approach preferring to draw on a variety of coaching tools and techniques as well as academic research and business experience to add depth to my work. It really comes down to what you need in the moment.

My clients describe me as a calm, warm and professional partner, quickly able to build rapport and trust with a view to helping them to explore new ideas and make changes in an relaxed and creative atmosphere. Yes, coaching can be fun too.
